Postdoctoral Positions in Lymphocyte Signal Transduction

POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS in Lymphocyte Signal Transduction
Employer: Division of Cell Biology, La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology
Location: La Jolla, CA, United States
Expires: May 22, 2010

Positions are available to study the regulation of signal transduction in lymphocytes by protein ubiquitination (Immunity, 21:167, 2004; Mol. Cell, 21:135, 2006; Nature Immunol., 9:245, 2008; PNAS, 106:17847, 2009).

We are using mouse models and molecular approaches to study the deficiency of E3 ubiquitin ligases in the development, differentiation, and activation of leukocytes, and their role in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases using mouse models of arthritis, allergic airway inflammation, tumor metastasis, and diabetes. Prior experience in handling of mouse models, and in molecular and cell immunology techniques, plus a strong background in immunology are desired.
